XE PIAN NBCA – One of the last wild places in Southeast Asia
e Pain National Protected Area is a large area of natural land bordering Kingfisher Ecolodge, it is home to significant wetland area and a huge diversity of animal, bird and fish species. We are perfectly situated as a jumping off point for further exploration of this fascinating area. We strive to develop responsible ecotourism activities in the area.
The area covers 2,400 square Kilometres with elevations from 150m to 844m. The vast majority of the parks area is made up of mixed evergreen forest (jungle) the rest is deciduous. It is an important habitat to some of the regions most endangered animal species including Elephant, tiger, Gibbon, Gaur, Dhole, Asian black bear, Banteng, Sunda Pangolin and Siamese Crocodile.
